What To Expect Before the Procedure

Our highly-trained staff will talk with you in advance about your goals and desires. We discuss your options and go over what results you can expect. You will have a chance to ask any questions you have so that you feel confident in choosing to have your Botox procedure.

What Happens After My First Procedure?

Botox injections have proven to be very safe over the years, making them one of the most popular elective procedures in the world. And when you choose the experts at AK Beautiful You, you can rest easy in that you will have an excellent experience.

Patients generally experience the following immediately after their procedure:

Small Bumps

You may experience some little bumps on the skin at the injection site. These are usually short-lived and often disappear by the time you head home from our office.

Light Bruising

Some patients experience a bit of bruising in the injection areas. The bruises are small, and you can expect mild discoloration to be gone within 24 to 48 hours.

Redness or Swelling

There may be some puffiness or redness at the site of injection, but generally, it resolves within 10-15 minutes.

Headache

Occasionally, patients experience a brief mild headache or feeling of heaviness after the injection. This is not common and is short-lived.

The staff will give you aftercare instructions before you leave the office. They will answer your questions and make sure you understand what you should or should not do in the coming days.

When Will I See Results?

When you get home, you may eagerly check your reflection in the mirror, looking for those fantastic Botox results. But to be clear, you won’t see the changes that quickly. Botox is a biotechnological marvel, but it does require time to do its job. The neurotoxins that release the wrinkles need about three to five days to get the job done.

At around the ten-day mark, you will likely be enjoying the full effects of the injections. For some first-time patients, it takes closer to two weeks to see complete results.

How Long Does Botox Last?

For many Botox fans, the fantastic results last, on average, about three to four months. This time frame can vary from patient to patient. We typically recommend that you plan a quarterly treatment to keep enjoying the smooth skin you are seeking.

Ready To Give It a Shot?

Each person responds to Botox treatments differently, but the team at AK Beautiful You takes the uncertainty out of the process. If you are ready to experience the great results for yourself, and to discover how long Botox lasts, reach out to our expert staff to get started.
